Aria 11 August

Posted by PicasaYesterday Aria started breast feeding for the first time. She did very well - got on with it like she has always been doing it. We were pretty proud of her, it's quite an achievement at 34 weeks to be able to coordinate sucking and breathing. Both Harrison & Aria have just changed from 2 hourly feeds to 3 hourly. At the moment Michelle tries to breastfeed Aria twice a day - 1030 and 1630.
Today Harrison was taken off CPAP for 1/2 hour and he coped very well, so tomorrow they are going to start cycling him off - 3 hours off, 9 hours on - this is great progress.
Tomorrow the Drs are going to cut Aria's caffeine out of her diet. She has been on this since birth. It helps them to "keep going" (or keep breathing). All these steps are one closer to coming home - can't wait!

Like the black shirt you are wearing in one of the photos too Chelle.
