There's a school girl in the house!

Today Philippa turned five and had her first day at school. According to her it was the best day in her life, so I guess that's a good way to start! When she left I asked her how she felt and she said "big". Poor Heidi missed her so much and asked nearly every half an hour when she was coming home!

We had sponge cake filled with cream and strawberries for afternoon tea, then roast leg of lamb and pavlova for dessert. (all at the request of the birthday girl!). Nana and Grandad came to help celebrate. We'll have a party with a few of her little friends in a few weeks (It's great when you can stretch out these celebrations as long as possible!) :-)
