Fun with Cousins

Harriet (8) and Tessa (6) came for a sleepover on Monday night. The kids all had the best time together.

Here are the four musketeers... setting off on an adventure up to the pine-trees. Not put off by the cold showery weather at all.

We went for a girls' night out to McDonalds

We did painting and craft. Harriet was the best help with Aria & Harrison.

We baked together... we made these cute little Easter Nests. They were so fun, simple and effective and they even tasted great!

I'll share the recipe with you: (we quadrupled it).

75g butter
50g soft brown sugar
125g porridge oats
1 tablespoon golden syrup or honey
Mini sugar coated chocolate eggs to decorate
Paper cup cases

Set the oven to 180 degrees. Place paper cases in muffin tins.
Measure out butter, sugar and golden syrup into saucepan.
Heat gently and stir until melted together and just starting to bubble. Remove from heat and add oats. Stir until evenly covered.
Spoon with a dessertspoon into the papercases so they are nearly full.
Bake for 15 mins and remove from oven. Carefully make a dip in the middle of each one using the tip of a teaspoon so they look like little nests. Once cool decorate with mini eggs. Peel off the papercases to serve.
