Waiting for the bus to pick us up and take us to the Maori Cultural Show

 


Being welcomed onto the marae. A bit scary for some of the kids!

 


The traditional Maori hangi meal - steam cooked under the ground. Lamb, chicken, potato and sweet potato (kumara).

 


Beautiful singing.

Raph remembers an evening like this when he was in NZ (something about being called up on the stage to dance and rub noses with the ladies :-))
