Holiday to Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, Queensland - July 2012

Thought Id better get my act together and start posting some pics. Everyone has been so patient! Anyway, it's been enjoyable putting these photos together tonight. Its a while ago, but some great memories! Getting there... We'd booked a shuttle to take us from the Proserpine Airport to Airlie beach, but it wasn't in service so we had this big Limo give us a ride. What a hoot! The kids thought it was a good way to travel! :-) Once we got to our apartment we had this awful looking creature looking at us on the balcony. Nearly enough to put me and the kids off, and head home! It was enough for Ro to go down to reception and make some enquiries too! He wasn't exactly heading out there to break it's neck!! Anyway, it was a fake one - yes, a fake snake. Apparently the owners leave it out there to scare away birds, as they tend to make a terrible mess of their balcony and chairs and table etc!
