View from our house.. not 'brown' by a lot of standards, but definitely for us in Auckland! A lot of households have had to order in water but so far we have managed ok. The new washing machine might be contributing to that!

Wow. That's really browned off for your area. We're looking very similar down here too. Luckily we have a deep water bore, so we don't need to rely on rain for our water. I must remember to take some photos for the record. It's interesting to compare it to what it would normally look like.
Looks like you're ready for some rain. Those brown fields are proof of a long hot summer. Looking forward to warmer days here soon.
